Nice work :) I particularly like the red & black one, and how the red, 'walks around'. I've made quite a few Magic Stars myself, you can see them http://www.youtube.com/user/DKCmaiche/videos Thanks for sharing!

Chris - Thanks for taking a look! I loved the Magic Stars you've made; especially the mini one.
My definite favorite is the red & black one I've made. I'm currently working on a slight variation of that pattern and hoping it turns out nicely.
Thanks again for stopping by and sharing too :D

Sanches - Actually the instructions to fold the Oriland Origami Magic Stars can be found and purchased on Oriland's website here: http://oriland.com/store/ebooks/oriland_magic_star/main.asp

If they were my own instructions to share, I would, but I don't own the rights to them.

Thank you for stopping by and for commenting. Please let me know if have any other questions!

Hi Stephen. I've just bought the Oriland Magic Stars book - haven't tried anything yet!

Can you tell me which model you used for the red & black version and how you modified it to make the red 'walk'

Linda -
The assembly method that I used was the 48 squares (starting on page 38 of the e-book). The color pattern that I used for the red & black version isn't found in the book (as I'm sure you guessed) it's one that I created through experimenting. You can find the color pattern posted on my blog here: http://stephensorigami.blogspot.com/2012/02/more-oriland-origami-magic-stars.html
Please let me know if you have any other questions. You won't be sorry you bought the book, the models are very satisfying once folded. I'd love you to hear how it goes! :D

Thanks Stephen. I think I'm going to need a quiet weekend (or two) to tackle this!

I LOVE the black and blue star, as they're my favorite colors too. The rainbow star looks very cool.

Hi! I have two questions, can you buy it in stores and if so, where?

Anonymous from June 12 - I would love to do a tutorial on this model some time, but for many reasons I won't yet. Particularly because it is a relatively new model and the e-book is readily available and reasonably priced here:
http://www.oriland.com/store/ebooks/oriland_magic_star/main.asp
Thank you for finding me, I hope you can find plenty to enjoy!

Anonymous from June 17 - Thank you! I love finding all kinds of color patterns to play with :-)

Anonymous from November 25 - If you mean the instructions on how to fold the model, I'm not aware of any physical stores to find them. You can buy the e-book directly from the creator's at this link:
http://www.oriland.com/store/ebooks/oriland_magic_star/main.asp
Please let me know if you were asking for other information. I will do my best to get back to you as soon as possible. And thank you for visiting!

(And my apologies for the extreme delay in responding here. My life responsibilities right now keep me from spending as much time here and posting as I would like. Hopefully, that will change soon!) :-D

I've attempted folding the 6 sheet star multiple times but I can't finish assembling them. I know you can't do a tutorial on the whole thing since its not yours, but do you think you could do a video of the assembly? I bought the instructions so I'm not taking anything away from the designer by asking for help. I appreciate whatever you can do. Thanks!
